The call has seen the rise of not only extensive educational campaigns in the name of our health but a multi-billion dollar industry built around low-fat/fat-free/reduced-fat products and weight loss strategies that employ such products to meet the goals of weight loss seekers. However, reviews of decades of research highlighted the lack of actual research on specific fatty acids, which in turn uncovered the reality that potentially not all saturated fat was bad for us, shock horror.
