Unit 1: Looks closely at the theory that underlines health coaching and wellbeing management, you will gain an understanding of psychology, so you can better understand human behaviour (learning, personality, habits, motivation and decision-making) and the factors that influence it. Effective communications is critical to a successful coaching relationship and you will review areas of active listening, rephrasing, reflection and motivational interviewing as your tools to support clients in making positive health changes. You will look closely at the theories of behaviour change including the most widely used model, the Transtheoretical Model of Change.

Unit 2: Apply your new communication skills in ongoing activities with peers, mentors and those around you so as an influencer you can promote your brand and message effectively. This is your application of the theory learned in the prior unit.

Unit 3: A unique short online course to begin a journey into understanding mental health challenges and how to respond appropriately and support those around you experiencing distress or crises. You’ll also complete your training with a highly personalised 1-on-1 session with course co-ordinator, Don Singe.
