This unit is divided into the following modules:
Physical Health Guidelines
Exploring global evidence and guidelines of what healthy movement is so you are able to share these with clients and pass on simple physical activity strategies.
Students undertake two coaching sessions as a client. Gaining an experience of coaching from this perspective supports students and demonstrates coaching at its best.
Mental Health & Trauma Awareness
Designed to bring mental health awareness to the forefront, understand what the major crises are, recognising them, understanding how best to respond and where to access essential knowledge and resources.
Also includes a Trauma Awareness component to develop student understanding of trauma and trauma-informed coaching. Students will have access to current resources on trauma including readings, videos, and discussions.
This subject is unit three of the Nutrition; Health Coaching program, it can be taken as an individual subject on its own also.
