Description

Mental Health First Aid (MFA) unit and covers depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, psychosis and substance use problems. A range of crises are reviewed from suicidal thoughts and behaviours, self injury, panic attacks, traumatic events, acute effects from substance use, psychotic states to aggressive behaviours. You will gain an understanding of the signs and symptoms of the mental health challenges that far too many of us most cope with in society today, whether directly or indirectly, as well as understand the support that has been shown to be effective in research. You will receive a text book by post, the course is run online privately via a highly specialised mental health organisation.
